Further Progress on Botrytis

Eden Research plc ("Eden") is pleased to announce that it has received a successful vinification report with regard to the use of its compound 3AEY to treat botrytis on grapes. A vinification report assesses the amount of taint (if any) to the wine caused by any residues of the compounds used to treat the disease.

As part of the previously announced agreement with Cheminova, Eden agreed to commission a separate French vinification study. Eden had already commissioned vinification studies in other Mediterranean countries. The French study has been concluded and a successful report has been received by Eden.

This represents a small but significant milestone with regard to the Cheminova master agreement.

As a result of the receipt of this successful report Eden has now invoiced Cheminova for €100,000 being the agreed next stage payment.

The process of registration for 3AEY continues to timetable.

Tim Griffiths the Chief Executive Officer of Eden said:-

"Whilst we already we have received successful vinification reports for several other countries, the French market is key and we did agree with our partners, Cheminova, that we would commission a separate new study. We are very pleased to have received a successful result. Everything remains on course for registration and we are looking forward to achieving the next milestone with our partners Cheminova".
