Full year results for the year ended 31 December 2004
Eden Research plc (OFEX: EDE), a leading UK agrochemical and pharmaceutical company, today announces its full year results for the year ended 31 December 2004. Eden focuses on pioneering organic solutions to problems in commercial areas where the current alternatives are not suitable, and is currently conducting trials in the USA, Australasia and the European Union.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The Company is pleased to announce:
- It has reached agreement in principle to acquire the entire share capital of Rebest-Naturol Group, an international company with hydroponic growing facilities and a unique plant extraction process for £2.38m.
- It has agreed to enter into an agreement with Sustainable Projects Development Group Limited (SPDG) to gain access to its international products & technologies
- The intention to dispose of its pharmaceutical and medical patents to focus on core ‘natural products’ offering
- Other key achievements over the past 12 months:
- Significant progress made over past year in building Intellectual Property bank
- Development of patented encapsulation technology and non agro-chemical product, supported by leading American universities
- Appointment of Dr Richard Smart to develop southern hemisphere programme in Australia
