As a field trial manager in the biological testing unit you will be responsible for the successful delivery of key projects within the company. The role will require technical know-how, project management and innovation.
The Core Responsibilities Include:
Design biological test protocols/ SOPs (literature searches to explore methodologies/ knowledge of important agricultural pests)
Analyse internal trials data (familiarity with statistical analysis methods and software packages)
Present research findings to the wider team in a compelling manner (ability to be concise)
Liaise with CROs to design trials (relationship management/ familiarity with EPPO
guidelines/good experimental design)
Review external reports to ensure contractors have delivered to scope (attention to detail) •
Ensure the biological lab works to GLP/GEP (familiarity and experience with the GEP/GLP process and documentation requirements)

Experience & Qualifications – Field Trials Manager – Grade II/III
Required:
- Practical experience working in a regulated environment (e.g. GEP/GLP/ISO)
- Experience working in cross functional teams to deliver innovative solutions
- Energy, enthusiasm and an excellent collaborative attitude
- Experience working as part of a team
Desirable:
- Monitor the progress and timeliness of ongoing trials and log progress in an organised way, engaging with specialist software such as ARM.
- Degree in a relevant agricultural / life science subject, or equivalent.
- GCSE (Maths/English/Science) Grade C and above.
- Familiarity with agricultural machinery
- Experience with a CRO carrying out field trials in the Agricultural, horticultural and Amenity Industry.
- PA1 and PA6 certificates
