Ecovelex Partnership with Royal Holloway
A new Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Royal Holloway, University of London, is accelerating the development of Ecovelex. The collaboration will explore its application to new cereal and vegetable seeds, building on its success in maize.
Supported by Innovate UK, the project brings together leading academic expertise in seed biology and technology, with access to world-class research facilities and a dedicated seed research scientist joining the R&D team. This marks a significant step in broadening Ecovelex’s market potential as a sustainable alternative to conventional seed treatments.

Mevalone Approval in California - Powdery Mildew
Californian state authorities have granted regulatory approval for Eden's biofungidcide Mevalone® for use on grapes to tackle powdery mildew. This latest regulatory approval extends the use of Mevalone on grapes in California, where it is already approved for the control of Botrytis cinerea.

Thymol Supply Agreement For Bee Health
Véto-pharma, a French pharmaceutical laboratory specialising in animal health has signed an agreement with Eden to supply thymol for use in bee care products. Widely valued for its antimicrobial and antifungal properties, thymol is one of three core actives in Eden's biopesticide portfolio and is currently registered for use across the US and EU. The agreement marks an important development in the protection of bee populations.

Appointment of Distribution Partner in Kenya

Regulatory approval for Novellus+ in Mexico
Advan Mexico, the local subsidiary of Sipcam Oxon and one of the country’s largest agrochemical distributors, will exclusively supply Novellus®+ following its regulatory approval for use against botrytis on a wide range of fruit and vegetable crops. An enhanced version of Mevalone®, Novellus+ offers Mexican growers a sustainable and effective solution to meet the high standards required for export, particularly to the US, Mexico’s largest agricultural trading partner. Appointment of Distributor in Austria
Sumi Agro Europe has been appointed exclusive distributor for Mevalone® in Austria, expanding its existing partnership with Eden across Central Europe. Regulatory approval has been submitted for Mevalone’s use on grapes and apples, with a decision expected in 2025. Austria’s organic viticulture sector, with over 15% of vineyards certified organic, alongside its large apple industry, makes it a promising market for residue-free biopesticide solutions such as Mevalone, which is exempt from maximum residue limits.

Mevalone Organic Input Registration in Germany
Mevalone® has been added to FiBL Germany’s official Organic Input List, enabling organic farmers across Germany to incorporate the plant-derived fungicide into their crop protection strategies. Nematicide Approval in Greece
Eastman Chemical, Eden’s distribution partner in Greece, will supply Cedroz™ following its temporary regulatory approval for use on potatoes against wireworms during the 2024 growing season. Wireworms, the larvae of click beetles, are a damaging pest with limited treatment options beyond conventional insecticides. Cedroz offers growers a sustainable and effective alternative across the 5,000 to 6,000 hectares of wireworm-affected potato farmland in Greece, expanding its role beyond established horticultural applications.
