Regulatory approval for Novellus+ in Mexico
Advan Mexico, the local subsidiary of Sipcam Oxon and one of the country’s largest agrochemical distributors, will exclusively supply Novellus®+ following its regulatory approval for use against botrytis on a wide range of fruit and vegetable crops. Appointment of Distributor in Austria
Sumi Agro Europe has been appointed exclusive distributor for Mevalone® in Austria, expanding its existing partnership with Eden across Central Europe. Regulatory approval has been submitted for Mevalone’s use on grapes and apples, with a decision expected in 2025. Austria’s organic viticulture sector, with over 15% of vineyards certified organic, alongside its large apple industry, makes it a promising market for residue-free biopesticide solutions such as Mevalone, which is exempt from maximum residue limits.

Mevalone Organic Input Registration in Germany

Nematicide Approval in Greece
Eastman Chemical, Eden’s distribution partner in Greece, will supply Cedroz™ following its temporary regulatory approval for use on potatoes against wireworms during the 2024 growing season. Wireworms, the larvae of click beetles, are a damaging pest with limited treatment options beyond conventional insecticides. Cedroz offers growers a sustainable and effective alternative across the 5,000 to 6,000 hectares of wireworm-affected potato farmland in Greece, expanding its role beyond established horticultural applications.

Biofungicide regulatory authorisation in Germany

Appointment of Global Product and Marketing Lead
Daniel Mulas Garcia has been appointed as Global Product and Marketing Leader, bringing nearly a decade of experience in sustainable crop protection from his role as Product Manager, Biostimulants and Biocontrol at Sipcam Iberia. Daniel played an instrumental role in the successful launch and growth of the Araw® biofungicide across the region. Holding a Master’s in Agronomical Engineering and a PhD in Agronomy from Universidad de León, he will support Eden’s commercial strategy by aligning product development with farmer needs and driving revenue growth through portfolio expansion.

Bioinsecticide Field Trials
Recent laboratory and field trials across Europe and the US have demonstrated strong efficacy for Eden’s developmental bioinsecticide against aphids, spider mites, whiteflies, and other key pests. The trials, conducted by Eden and prospective commercial partners, showed performance on par or better than leading registered biological products. With global crop losses to pests estimated at 40% annually and increasing regulatory restrictions on conventional insecticides, this product offers a sustainable alternative with significant commercial potential.

Biofungicide Label Extension in Spain
Mevalone®, marketed as Araw® by Sipcam Iberia, has received regulatory approval in Spain for use against powdery mildew, botrytis cinerea, rust, and sclerotinia across 54 new horticultural crops. The expanded label covers high-value crops including avocado, mango, cherry, chickpea, green bean, asparagus, leek, and artichoke. Since its launch in 2016, Araw has become a leading biofungicide in Spain’s horticultural sector. This label extension opens new commercial opportunities in growing markets such as avocado and almond, the latter being Spain’s third largest tree crop, and supports Eden’s revenue growth plans for 2025 and beyond.
